Molly has 20+ years experience in architecture, practicing in B.C., Alberta and California in projects including large-scale residential, commercial and mixed-use, townhouses, seniors housing, and institutional projects. Clients recognize Molly’s proven leadership, paired with her ability to deliver projects that balance their vision and considerations for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and creativity.

Tom Staniszkis is one of the founding partners of NSDA and has gained a reputation for expertise in multiple residential design, development feasibility analysis, rezoning, urban design and master planning studies during his thirty-eight years in practice since registering as an architect in British Columbia. In addition to architectural work, he has been active in development project management capacity, including land assembly, project financing and marketing.
At NSDA, through outstanding teamwork and communication, we support each other, relying heavily on the skills, talents and experience of the people in the office to make informed decisions. Peter’s career at NSDA has been shaped by the firm’s commitment to creating a positive effect on communities through integrative, responsive, and purposeful development. With 20 years’ experience in the full range of residential building, he focuses on the comprehensive design of multi-residential mixed-use rental and market ventures and socially supportive special-needs housing. By collaborating with skilled teams, he fosters strong client relationships based on shared values, dedication, and reliable delivery.
Rick started his career as a technologist in Ottawa over 25 year ago and had the opportunity to work behind the scenes on a number of historical Canadian buildings. Inspired by the history of construction and architecture, he was involved with local heritage renovation and restoration projects as a designer and carpenter. Rick also worked on a variety of projects including wineries, breweries, schools, care facilities, and residential developments.
Julia holds a Bachelors degree in Architectural Science from BCIT and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Calgary. Her experience working as an intern encompasses a variety of institutional and commercial projects of differing scales. She has overseen projects from schematic design phase through to construction administration, and all the steps in between.
Michael worked as an architectural technologist for 3 years in Dubai and 10 years in Singapore before coming to Canada. His work experience includes residential projects, commercial, mix-use, and industrial buildings.
Karolina holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Calgary. A deep sense of optimism and curiosity drive Karolina to explore how current modes of living, working and playing can be adapted to bring tangible, positive change to communities. Karolina enjoys walking with the dogs and going for bike rides in the spare moments.
Vida graduated from University FH Munich-Germany with a Bachelor of Architecture Design and completed the building construction technology program at BCIT. Vida has over 17 years work experience in variety of institutional and commercial projects. She enjoys contributing to a team of professionals to create superlative work. Vida is motivated by the idea of working on projects that are going to enhance people’s everyday life. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Mika appreciates the teamwork and supportive environment here at NSDA. She contributes a skill set and work experience that benefits the project team, client, and ultimately the end user. Making a positive impact on communities and its people through the design and building process of successful projects is what makes it worth it.
Sepid graduated from the University of Tehran’s Master of Architecture program and has completed courses in the Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture program at UBC. She is popular with clients, consultants and her team-mates for leading projects efficiently and in high spirits. Her twenty years’ experience in architecture is focused on residential and mixed-use projects in Vancouver and Calgary.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Carleton University, Ottawa. Driven by a passion for sensitive and contextually-driven design, he is interested in how architecture can positively enrich communities.
In 2017 Aaron received his Masters of Architecture from the University of British Columbia. Prior to attending school, he lived and worked as a drafter in Southeast Alaska and Idaho. He has experience in a variety of civic design including schools, libraries, museums, and community centres. He also loves to do small design-build projects and furniture design. Aaron chose to live and work in Vancouver because he loves the coastal mountain landscape, which he explores by hiking, camping, and snowboarding in his free time.
Jason holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from MIT Philippines and Associate Certificate in Building Construction Technology from BCIT. He has over 8 years of experience working in architecture, interior design, and construction firms. Jason has worked on several residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments in Dubai before migrating to Canada in 2014. His experience includes concept design, architectural illustration, 3D visualization, and detail design development. Outside of work Jason enjoys photography, sketching, downhill biking, and travelling to beautiful places with his family.
In 2016 Sean graduated from the University College Cork, Ireland with a B.S.c in Architecture. In the time since the completion of his degree, Sean has worked as a Junior Designer in Oakland, California. There he worked on multi-family housing and commercial renovation projects. He has a keen interest in holistic, sustainable design.
In his spare time, he likes to keep active hiking, skiing and playing the Irish sports of hurling Gaelic football. Experiencing new places and cultures is a passion of Sean's. He is looking forward to exploring British Columbia and the rest of Canada.
Gabriel is a graduate of Architecture and Urban Design from Faculdades Barddal de Artes Aplicadas, Brazil. He is passionate about how dynamic architecture can be and brings his experience with residential high-rises and commercial buildings to NSDA. Positive thinking and openness to new solutions allows him to explore the most of his ideas. In his spare time, he likes to be outdoors, enjoying nature on the west coast.
Eirini has 8 years of design experience as graduate architect and project lead in architecture studios in Europe. She supports sustainability in design and construction, and she is a LEED AP. She recently moved to Vancouver and is eager to expand her horizons in Canadian architecture.
With over 10 years of customer service and management experience, Lyndsay brings a high level or professionalism to her role. She prides herself in always working to meet the needs of her clients and her team.
Navid has a Masters of Architecture from Shahid Beheshti University in Iran. With over 20 years in architecture design and construction, he has gained much experience, from project costs, construction documentation, to scheduling. His professional track record covers multiple environments include commercial, multi-residential residential and custom homes.
The interest in good quality and environmentally sensitive design is the reason why she chose this career path. After obtaining her Masters in Architecture from the University of Architecture and City Planning, Timisoara in 2005 she worked on a wide range of project types from urban design to large scale commercial and mixed use high-rise residential developments. The adventure continued she moved to Canada in 2010 and joined the NSDA team. It is a great professional environment with interesting, friendly and very supportive people.
Masoud's 11 years practicing Architectural Design in BC includes a wide range of residential projects from high-end custom homes, to townhouse complexes, residential apartment buildings, mixed use complexes and commercial buildings.
Fully functional design - which is strong and appealing in it’s form - becomes successful Architecture when it respectfully responds to both it’s surrounding environment and economic constraints.
Miguel is a transplant from Mexico. He has a background in the construction industry, with experience in the design and coordination of various residential projects. He has worked as a technologist for various design studios in Vancouver BC. His main passions outside the office are winter sports and cycling.
Amy graduated from UBC Master of Architecture program in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies from Carleton University in Ottawa. She worked previously as a Student Intern with Perkins + Will in Vancouver, and Fentress Architects in Denver, Colorado, being involved in schematic design and construction documentation. Amy also worked as a graphic designer at UBC SALA where she was in charge of producing publications, signage, information graphics and branding.
Working at NSDA has been a great opportunity for professional growth. There’s a culture of high performance and personal development, and where hard work is recognized. Angela manages marketing and advertising, corporate online presence, and proposals.
Laurel is our front-of-house face who adds a dash of energy and plenty of personality to your requests. She has fifteen years of experience in the hospitality and event planning industry and over a decade of administration experience.
Yuhua comes to NSDA with 24 years of architectural experience. Her exemplary design and organizational skills have been developed through various urban planning projects, luxury residential towers, mixed-use developments, and interior design projects.
Since joining NSDA in 2001, the firm has expanded and adapted to the challenge of an architectural practice. This learning and growing environment has made the workplace engaging and stimulating. Denis is also softball team captain of the NSDA ALLCAPS!
Wanda has worked at NSDA from 1992 to 1997, and from 1999 to present. Her work at the firm has been focused on supportive housing and community facilities.
Working with clients to create an architecture that speaks of place, relates to nature and gives inspiration, is rewarding both professionally and personally.
As a Project Architect, Michael enjoys the initial stages of design and its evolution through to the construction process. He has assisted on a variety of small and large scale projects of different building types such as the amenity pavilion at Uptown and the Pacific Autism Family Centre. Michael’s background is in urban geography and site planning and he holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of British Columbia. Outside the office, Michael enjoys travel, hiking and volleyball.
